I’m a finance professional turned tech enthusiast. With a B.Com degree and ACCA affiliation, I’m currently expanding my expertise into data science and development, blending finance with technology.
My journey into tech began when I sought to track EPL and NBA scores using Excel. I quickly discovered the power of macros to automate tasks, which not only expanded my skills but also sparked an excitement for programming and computer science.
Soon, I began using Excel to plan everyday tasks, as well as my short and long-term personal development goals. Creating automated spreadsheets for personal use (like time management, to-do lists, road trip expense planning, etc.) became a hobby I genuinely enjoyed.
While pursuing a career in finance, I realized the immense potential of combining finance and big data with technology. While finance was interesting, using technology to create financial models was truly exciting. This drove me to explore advanced Excel and eventually dive into Python, SQL, data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI, and even web development (HTML/CSS).
Through hands-on projects, experimentation, and continuous learning on platforms like W3Schools and freeCodeCamp, I’ve developed proficiency in data exploration, analysis, visualization, and development.
I am committed to continually enhancing my expertise in data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis. Currently, I am deepening my technical skills while expanding my knowledge into Machine Learning with Python and advanced statistics. Additionally, I recently launched my first finance web app.
I am proficient in English and Malayalam, and I’m casually learning Spanish and Hindi at an intermediate level on Duolingo.
